The winners were compiled from 1,500-plus nominations from the magazine's readers over the past year. District Administration announced The Readers' Choice Top 100 Products online and in its December 2016 issue.

"This recognition from the readers of District Administration is truly an honor," said Chris Crawford, Vice President of K-12 at Blackboard. "We look forward to continuing to expand our partnerships with school districts across the nation as they leverage innovative, proven technology to enhance personalized learning and boost academic achievement."

The District Administration Readers' Choice Top 100 Products awards program informs superintendents and other senior school district leaders about products their colleagues around the country are using to help their districts excel in a variety of areas, such as technology, sustainability and curriculum instruction.

"Learning about all the products being used to help districts succeed is inspiring," says JD Solomon, District Administration's editorial director. "Our winners cover a wide spectrum. All of our 2016 honorees should be very proud of this achievement."

Blackboard's Personalized Learning Solution supports districts that are making the digital transition with an innovative, easy-to-use, and comprehensive foundation for competency-based and personalized teaching and learning. Features include a comprehensive learning management system; enterprise web conference technology to support virtual collaborating and learning; a global, cloud-based learning object repository; mobile apps that enable anytime learning and collaboration; and professional development to ensure adoption success.

This is the second year in a row that Blackboard has been recognized in District Administration's annual Readers' Choice Top 100 Products awards. Last year, Blackboard's Mobile Communications App, formerly ParentLink, was named a winner. The mobile app combines academic, school, and district information into a communications tool that is accessible by smartphone and tablet for all audiences on-the-go.

"Blackboard's solutions allow Lawrence Public Schools' students to engage in and access all content in all curricular areas at their own pace and level throughout every day," said Paula Barr, the 2015 iNACOL Online & Blended Teacher of the Year. "Through Blackboard, students can continue their learning outside the brick and mortar and time constraints of a traditional school setting, and parents have the opportunity to become more involved in their students' learning."
